About the PACS1 Syndrome Research Foundation

 

The PACS1 Syndrome Research Foundation supports research towards finding a cure for PACS1 Syndrome, a neuro-genetic disorder that causes significant intellectual disability, gross and fine motor delays, epilepsy, autism, and severe speech delays. There are around 200 known cases of PACS1 Syndrome worldwide.

 

Position Summary:

 

The PACS1 Syndrome Research Foundation is hiring a Social Media & Digital Fundraising Manager. This key team member will help our mission-driven organization spread awareness, promote our research initiatives, find new supporters, increase follower engagement, engage donors, and raise funds to accelerate research to find a cure and/or an effective treatment for PACS1 Syndrome.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the social media calendar for the PACS1 Syndrome Research Foundation. Produce social media engagement and fundraising posts, emails, graphics, and web content to support fundraising and awareness efforts.

  • Provide direct support as needed and recognition to the PACS1 Syndrome community to aid in the success of social media fundraising and awareness campaigns and other online fundraising efforts (i.e., Facebook fundraisers, family campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising pages).

  • Assist in strategy and creating online fundraising and engagement campaigns for the PACS1 Syndrome Research Foundation.

  • Assists in the management of the Foundation’s online giving platform.

  • Respond to comments and inquiries submitted to Foundation social media accounts in a timely manner. Redirect to appropriate Foundation staff as needed.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • 1-year professional work experience. Social media, marketing, fundraising, and/or nonprofit work experience preferred.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in online fundraising and social media strategy for mission-based nonprofit organizations.

  • Strong writing and graphic design skills.

  • Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas.

  • Exceptional communication and people skills.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Campaign management experience preferred.
